Thanks for joining me on this journey toward understanding what occurred in Andover, MA during the Witch Trials of 1692. The title of this blog, 24 & More, is a reference to the at least two dozen members of the extended Ingalls family accused of witchcraft, defenders of the accused, and accusers. The family includes those persons descended from Edmund Ingalls and Annis Tripp Tealby and those related to the Ingalls family through marriage.
This blog is written primarily for members of the Ingalls family and also for those interested in what is known as the Salem Witch Trials. Together we’ll discover something about the past and perhaps some things about ourselves.

I hope you’ll write more! I’m a descendent of Henry Ingalls (Sr. & Jr.). Is this photograph taken of one of the Ingalls homes? Or the Dane or Allen home, by any chance?
Your (probably very distant) relation,

Wow! Your last name is Ingalls! Please let me find you and our relationship on Ancestry. I would need your parents’ names, grandparents, and as far back as you can go. I want to end up adding you and any others — of course, with your permission. I am the daughter of Wallace Stephen Ingalls and Julia Mae Porter. My father’s parents were Almont Ingalls and Charlotte Perry. His grandparents on the Ingalls side were David James Ingalls and Louisa Rollins. Up the line are as follows: David Ingalls and Elizabeth Richarson, Nathaniel Ingalls and Elizabeth McKeen, Henry Ingalls and Hannah Martin, Henry Ingalls, Jr and Abigail Webster Emery, Henry Ingalls and Mary Osgood, Edmund Ingalls and Annis Tealby, Here’s a link to my Ancestry page: Ingalls Family Tree. https://ancstry.me/2kV4goZ Looking forward to hearing more from you. Keep watching this blog, though. I am a finally retired teacher with enough time to seriously look at various eras in the Ingalls in America thing. I’m amazed at how much involvement the Ingalls had in the Salem Witch Trials. By my count, it’s over 30 Ingalls or people related to us through marriage. Best, Rosemary

I visited North Andover in 2019. I sat on the porch of Henry III’s porch. lovely home, huge barn, a wonderful experience. I am on Ancestry. My project is called Ingalls Family. You may very well find your ancestors there. It’s public, so I think you can get in. If not, send me a message at rose@ggrotta.com and I will find out how you can see it. I am in the 9th generation descendants of Edmund and Ann Ingalls who founded Lynn, Massachusetts in 1629 after arriving on the Abigail with Endicott’s company in the fall of 1628. You are kin. I’d love to keep corresponding with you as I find more info and you also find more. Our family is incredibly interesting. I don’t know where you live, but I am in California after leaving a 20 year stay in San Antonio, TX. The current TX governor is related to us. Henry, Sr’s wife was Mary Osgood. Her mother was an Abbott from the family from which Gov Greg Abbott is descendant. Small world, huh?
